Attached please find the following documents related to the NVC Governance Committee’s work on revising the village’s Zoning Ordinance (current ordinance available at https://nvcmaine.gov/wp-content/uploads/2021/06/nvc-zoning-ordinance.pdf):
- A revised summary of material changes made to the ordinance, including a separate section listing changes made after the last public hearing on 6/25/22.
- A revised redline of the summary of material changes against the version discussed at the 8/1/22 meeting of the Governance Committee.
- An redline showing the changes between the current (8/6/22) version and the version discussed at the 8/1/22 meeting of the Governance Committee.
- Page 1: Header added re: public meetings, consistent with what’s shown on the current ordinance.
- Page 1: Changed format of dates on first page, consistent with what’s shown on the current ordinance.
- Pages 2-4: Updated table of contents page numbers.
- Page 7: Removed the reference in 1.8.4 to ZBA and clarified that 2/3 vote is for voters at the meeting, not all eligible NVC voters, the vast majority of whom will not be at the meeting.
- Exhibit A: Swapped in the image of the zoning map that will ultimately be inserted when Toupie gets it to us.
- A redline against the version of the ordinance distributed to the public for the 6/25/22 public hearing.
- A redline against the current ordinance.
- A clean (no redline) version of the current draft revised ordinance.
- A compilation of written comments on the Zoning Ordinance received by the Governance Committee through 8/5/22. Not attached due to size but available for download at https://baysidemaine.com/pdfs/ordinances/comments-to-governance-committee-re-zoning.pdf).
Note: “Redline” refers to the comparison of two documents, showing the differences between the documents (that is, changes made).

The public hearing is on Saturday, August 13 at 9 AM ET in the Community Hall. This is an in-person event only. The next Governance Committee meeting is virtual and being held the day before, Friday, August 12, at 7:30 AM ET.
