Bayside’s lifeguard coverage has started for the season, with the return of Ronin Deschamps in the lifeguard chair this year. Please stop by and say hello to Ronin. One note: Due to the limited pool of qualified lifeguards and budget constraints, we have only five days coverage each week this summer. Ronin will be on duty from Wednesday thru Sunday from now thru mid-August. There is no lifeguard coverage on the Bayside waterfront on Mondays and Tuesdays.
The following rules are in effect for the safety of all swimmers:
1. Adult supervision is required for children under age 9.
2. No running, pushing, shoving, or roughhousing.
3. No swimming under the dock.
4. No swimming in mooring area.
5. No jumping off rails and pilings.
6. Jumping off dock not allowed when tide is too low.
7. No entering lifeguard zone around lifeguard chair.
8. No sitting on lifeguard chair.
9. No profanity allowed.
10. No fishing from swim float.
The lifeguard is in charge of dock.
Anyone violating these rules will be asked to leave dock area.
