Bayside summer lifeguard coverage begins on Thursday, June 29th and will run through mid-August.
One lifeguard will be on duty five days a week, from Wednesday thru Sunday. Because of budget limits, Bayside will not have lifeguard coverage on Mondays and Tuesdays this summer.
Lifeguard hours are 10AM-6PM, with a break for lunch between 12:30-1PM.
Bayside veteran lifeguard Ronin Deschamps is returning again this summer. Ronin will work Wednesday thru Friday each week. The village will also welcome new lifeguard, Payton Ward, who will have waterfront duty every Saturday and Sunday. Both lifeguards are working June 29th and 30th for Ronin to help familiarize Payton with the Bayside waterfront.
Also, to accommodate the July 4th holiday, which falls over a Monday/Tuesday timeframe, one lifeguard will be on duty on Monday, July 3rd and Tuesday, July 4th.
The regular Weds thru Sunday schedule picks up after the holiday.
