Northport Village Corporation Overseers
Seven Overseers are responsible for policy and decision-making within the NVC and work closely with the President, Secretary/Clerk, and Treasurer. For details on the responsibilities of those roles, please see the NVC Bylaws.
The Overseers meet monthly on Sunday mornings at 9 AM in the months September through May; Overseers meetings begin at 8 AM during the Summer months — June, July, and August.
At monthly meetings, the Overseers hear Bayside resident questions and concerns, debate policy, receive and act on Committee reports, apportion money for projects, and pass ordinances and rules. On rare occasions, Emergency Meetings are held; the public is informed when these occur.
The public is invited to all Overseers meetings, which are held at Community Hall (basement meeting room) or online. The schedule for 2026/2027is as follows:

- December 13, 2026 (By tradition, the December meeting is held only if needed.)

- March 14, 2027 (Daylight Saving Time begins.)

- The NVC Annual Meeting is Tuesday, August 10, 2027: Overseers meet at 5:30 PM; the Annual Meeting begins at 6:00 PM. Newly elected officials are sworn in following the Annual Meeting.

Annual Meeting
Village property owners vote on the annual budget and other matters at the NVC’s Annual Meeting, which takes place on the second Tuesday of August.
